Requirements for Site Preparation

Minimum 40″ Clearance: Our machinery requires a minimum clearance of 40 inches (1.016 meters) to access the dig site. This width is measured from the outer edge of one track to the outer edge of the opposite track. Please be aware that it is not capable of ascending stairs or steps.

Utility Locates: Prior to any digging activity, it is imperative to contact Ontario-One Call at 1-800-400-2255 to initiate a utility locate request for your property. This includes, but is not limited to, identifying the locations of hydro, gas, and telecom lines. In accordance with the law, we are unable to proceed with excavation until we have obtained complete and up-to-date locates.

Clear Line of Sight: For the successful implementation of our string line, an unobstructed line of sight is crucial. We kindly request that all potential obstructions, such as bushes, shrubs, tall grass, old fencing, etc., be either removed or trimmed back before our scheduled arrival on the day of the excavation. This ensures a smooth and efficient workflow during the dig.
